The purpose of the conference is to bring graduate students from across the humanities together to explore interdisciplinary themes. Our theme this year is Conflict and Liberation. We are also very pleased to announce that our keynote speaker this year will be Heather Cox Richardson. Dr. Richardson is a professor of history at Boston College. Her work focuses on nineteenth-century American history and the transformation of political ideology from the Civil War to the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. Dr. Richardson also regularly writes for Salon.com and We're History.
